Hello. It's been a long time between posts.
Since I last wrote, a lot has happened in my book lending life. I finished my volunteer positions at the NPG and Ramblers' libraries and moved out of London to a small East Sussex town. I'm almost a term into my MA at Brighton, and am thoroughly enjoying it (even the late nights finishing essays). My volunteer positions - especially at the NPG - turned out to be excellent preparation for the course. I had an assignment deadline yesterday - a group presentation - which seemed to go well. I got some lovely feedback from my class members (on my presentation and on my jumper).
I have also been applying for jobs in local libraries across East Sussex, and last week had my fourth interview. As of next month I will be a library assistant at Hastings Library! I've been practising my best stern "Shhhhhhhh…" all day.
I hope to update this blog more often - I'm aiming for at least once a month, depending on homework levels, we'll see how it goes. Speaking of which, homework beckons...
